General ringing, walking and Western branch AGM, Furness area
Ringers of all abilities are welcome to the Guild ringing day in the Furness region, which includes the Western Branch AGM. This is rare opportunity to ring on higher numbers, coupled with an opportunity to explore the area on foot for you or your non-ringing family members.
Andy Pollock also welcomes any ART module 1 trained teachers to help out at a bell handling session in Broughton in the morning. He is currently working to re-establish a band at Broughton.
The plan for the day is:
10:00 – 12:00, bell handling session at Broughton in Furness (optional, but support from ART M1 trained teachers would be appreciated)
12.30 – 13:30, ringing at Broughton in Furness (12) – LA20 6HA
14:00 – 15:00, ringing at Dalton in Furness (10) – LA15 8LH
15:30 – 16:30, ringing at Barrow in Furness (8) – LA14 5UE
16:30, Service at Barrow
17:00, Tea (bring and share) followed by Western Branch AGM.
Please let Andy Pollock know if you plan on coming to all or part of the day: ringing@barrowbells.org.uk.
The AGM agenda and minutes of the 2022 branch AGM have been circulated from the Guild secretary via email to those on the Guild emailing list.
