Cumbria Bellringing

We represent church bell ringers around the Lake District in north, west and east Cumbria and parts of the Furness peninsula.

There is never a better time to learn to ring bells, than now.

The Carlisle Diocesan Guild of Church Bell Ringers

Our towers are scattered from Irton in the West with its magnificent view of Wasdale, and St Bees on the Irish Sea coast, across to the edge of the Pennines in the East where Appleby and Kirkby Stephen are linked by the Settle-Carlisle Railway. In the centre lies Keswick surrounded by northern fells of the Lake District, and in the north, Carlisle and Brampton are close to the Scottish border and Hadrian’s Wall. Whether you are a tower grabber or planning a holiday with some ringing allow plenty of time for your visit.
