SUMMARY:Optional ringing for Commonwealth Day
DESCRIPTION:To mark the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Charter of the Commonwealth by our Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II\, a Commonwealth of Nations Flag of Peace is being sent to every city in the UK to be raised on Monday 13th March.  Throughout the day\, there will be various ceremonies\, culminating in an invitation to ring bells at 8pm. \nA suggestion is that amongst any ringing done that day\, and specifically for this event\, a minimum of 10 whole pulls of Queens should be rung. \nFurther information can be found here.

DESCRIPTION:Ringers of all abilities are welcome to the Guild ringing day in the Furness region\, which includes the Western Branch AGM. This is rare opportunity to ring on higher numbers\, coupled with an opportunity to explore the area on foot for you or your non-ringing family members.  \nAndy Pollock also welcomes any ART module 1 trained teachers to help out at a bell handling session in Broughton in the morning.
