SUMMARY:Ringing practice at Whitehaven
DESCRIPTION:St James Whitehaven are opening their normal practice night to a wider cluster of towers in the vicinity on Friday 31 March 2023\, 19:00 – 21:00.  Come and ring in an easily accessible tower with nearby ringers. There are 12 bells\, so if you haven’t rung on ten or twelve bells before\, now’s your chance to try something new. \nRingers of all abilities welcome\, from rounds and call changes to six and eight bell methods. DESCRIPTION:Ringers of all abilities are welcome to the Guild ringing day in the Furness region\, which includes the Western Branch AGM. This is rare opportunity to ring on higher numbers\, coupled with an opportunity to explore the area on foot for you or your non-ringing family members.  \nAndy Pollock also welcomes any ART module 1 trained teachers to help out at a bell handling session in Broughton in the morning. DESCRIPTION:To kickstart ringing in the Western side of the Guild\, there will be a general ringing practice at Workington followed by refreshments and an information gathering exercise to hear how you want to improve your or your tower’s ringing.  Perhaps you want to improve your basic skills\, get help to learn something new\, or ring a quarter peal in a certain method?   \nThe afternoon agenda: \n14:00 – 16:00 General ringing – all abilities welcome.
