SUMMARY:Guild striking competition
DESCRIPTION:The striking competition will be held in the afternoon at Crosthwaite/Keswick.  The Judge this year will be Simon Percy from Lancaster. There are the usual two competitions – the Call Change Band and the Method Band competition. You should enter the competition appropriate for the ringing your band normally does. \nThe competition is just for fun – it’s the taking part that matters! Unless you win – then it’s the winning that matters! DESCRIPTION:Our Guild AGM is being held at Greystoke this year.  Timings are \n13:30 – 14:30 Ringing at Great Salkeld \n15:00 – 16:00 Ringing at Greystoke \n16:30 Service at Greystoke \n17:00 Bring and share tea\, Greystoke village hall \nAGM business meeting will follow the tea in the village hall.  Parking is available in the village hall.  Please drop off bring and share contributions before walking to the Church. \n20230422 Guild AGM Agenda v1. \nPeople may also be interested to know that the nearby Dalemain Marmalade festival is happening that day and may make an interesting visit earlier in the day. Bellringers get free entry to the festival as the Borders Mini-ring will be there showcasing bellringing and letting people “have a (supervised) go”. \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:To mark the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Charter of the Commonwealth by our Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II\, a Commonwealth of Nations Flag of Peace is being sent to every city in the UK to be raised on Monday 13th March.  Throughout the day\, there will be various ceremonies\, culminating in an invitation to ring bells at 8pm. \nA suggestion is that amongst any ringing done that day\, and specifically for this event\, a minimum of 10 whole pulls of Queens should be rung. \nFurther information can be found here.
